17th Century Farm House in West Cork

What’s rare is wonderful and this property is an excellent example of this fact, this 17th century Farm house in west Cork  has been very tastefully renovated to its former glory.

We are a company that prides itself in providing the finest quality workmanship and attention to detail on all of our projects from a small repair to a complete restoration. Another show case of sympathetic restoration at 17th century Farm House in West Cork. Unfortunately at some stage in the early “20th” century this period style farm house was re plastered using sand and cement, which resulted in very cold and damp conditions throughout. As a result, this all had to be removed and the original stone finish had to be repointed before it could be lime rendered. The internal walls were also completely stripped back to their original stone finish, repointed and lime rendered, using lime render as the base coat and finish coated using Lime Skim.
